About you:
As a Senior Well Services Supervisor you must have:

  • 10-15 yrs of relevant Well Intervention experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a Supervisory position.

  • Tertiary education qualification favoured.

  • Demonstrated design, planning and/or field experience with the ability to communicate and lead multi-discipline teams.

  • Experience in Well Specific Guidelines and Well Programmes

  • Experience in Logistics

  • Experience in Equipment Certification Process

  • Experience in Implementation of new technology

  • Experience in Equipment qualification and verification

  • Experience in SITs / FATs

  • Experience in Wellsite management

  • Experience in Process safety leadership

  • Experience in End of well close out

  • MUST be Perth/ WA based or willing to relocate to Perth.

  • MUST hold valid MSIC, BOSIET/FOET, CSTP, IWFC L4 Well Interventions, National Police Clearance


About the role:
As a Senior Well Services Supervisor you will be:

  • Demonstrated ability in supervising well intervention and related operation on fixed platform production facilities as the Company’s well services representative.

  • Providing technical senior support to the Team Leader during the planning and execution phases of wells.

  • Coordinating offshore operations and lease directly with onshore team and facility management (Superintendent, OIM).

  • Ensuring that WSS objectives are set and fully detailed in the procedures for the intervention of each well. 

  • Ensure that well intervention designs and construction procedures are in accordance with applicable standards and legislative requirements.

  • The role required to be Perth, Australia based.

Senior Sub Sea Engineer

About the role:
The purpose of the Senior Sub Sea Engineer is:

  • To provide Subsea engineering support for the drilling, completion and testing team in country as well as offshore and liaise with the appropriate project group as required. This role will work closely with the Rig Supt, SCE, COE, SSup, and SCE to make sure subsea engineering needs are met.

  • Provide overall coordination and preparations of subsea equipment in country.

  • Provide guidance and oversight for the offshore Subsea team.

  • This is an Australian based position

 General Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for wells subsea engineering support in design and offshore activities.

  • Responsible for interfacing with the Facilities Subsea group as required.

  • Ensures EHS requirements are integral to all aspects of completion, testing and well intervention activities.

  • Contribute to delivering operational EHS performance.

  • Review and provide feedback on well operational programmes which account for and dictate best EHS practise.

  • Ensures that all wells subsea activities comply with company standards, governmental regulations and industry standards.

  • Provides completions input to team and well engineering delivery objectives as necessary.

  • Provide input into the specification of wells subsea and related equipment and services in accordance with company procedures.

  • Ensures that all work within the area of responsibility is adequately documented and lessons learned are captured for the benefit of future company operations worldwide.

  • Ensure material and service providers comply with specified quality assurance requirements.

  • Build effective relationships and interact professionally with internal/external stakeholders and service companies.  

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering work on new build SSXT systems, working with, and where necessary, within Project Subsea Delivery teams.

  • Responsible for engineering and procurement of all installation requirements such as IWOCS, tubing hanger tooling, contingency tooling, SSXT running, etc.

  • Responsible for subsea test tree (SSTT) engineering and procurement.

  • Responsible for ensuring that all ROV tooling has been identified to fulfil the work programme and to ensure on time delivery and complete any required testing.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Ensures continuous improvement and Lessons Learnt are captured in the Completions and Subsea Manual.

  • Subsea performance/efficiency improvement - identifies performance improvement initiatives.

Operational Support:

  • Provide technical expertise in wells subsea operations including the planning, execution, and post job analysis, as needed.

  • Continuously reviews daily operations to ensure full understanding of issues, operational problems, FIRs, cost, etc.

  • required to the Rig Superintendents and COE as appropriate.

  • Plans for future wells and ensures required materials and services are available in country and allocated as required.

  • Conduct specialist projects from time to time, particularly in relation to subsea operational optimisation with regard to improved EHS performance and cost reduction.

  • Provide subsea engineering input into the required Completion Basis of Design documents (that will detail all completion and subsea designs and methodologies).

  • Provide support to Rig Superintendents and Drilling Engineering with rig selection process.

  • Provide support with selection, installation and operational planning of ROV systems, to drilling personnel, as required.

Risk Management:

  • Participates in well and operations hazard assessments and HAZOPs.  


  • Assist with any C&P contract work, requests, and evaluations.

  • Review or initiates cost estimates for subsea activities as required.

  • Initiates requisitions / sole source justification as required.

  • Signs off on contractor invoices and timesheets for work under his direct control.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • BSc or BEng favoured

  • Proven recent experience as a subsea engineer with operating companies.

  • Subsea completions experience in various water depth environments.

  • Knowledge and experience in design and running of subsea xmas tree systems, subsea test tree systems and ROV systems.

  • Project management experience executing subsea well service and life of field contracts.

  • Work experience in remote locations
