Our experts perform technical integrity assessments of the well barriers and their components in order to categorize the wells and identify risk mitigation requirements.
We compare the well- , casing- and tubing design basis and develop programs with recognized standards and guidelines (NORSOK D-010 / UKOG Guidelines / ISO) to measure compliance, identify gaps and propose solutions to enhance integrity.
Our team of specialists conduct thorough technical investigation of incidents through interviews, assessment of reports and calculations to identify the cause, and provide recommendation actions to prevent incident reinsurance.
Increase competency around the fundamentals of well integrity measures aligned with the NORSOK D-010 well integrity standard, which focuses on the establishment of well barriers and well barrier elements to prevent loss of integrity.
Add Energy provides subject matter experts and specialists to work as integrated members of our client’s team, in the office, on the rig or at the well site. This solution has been designed to enhance the competency of your workforce, provide expert advice or manpower required to deliver well integrity management programs.
Following a significant loss of 28 rig days due to a gas leak from the well, Add Energy was contracted to conduct a technical investigation of the planning and execution performance of a plug and abandonment exercise of the subsea exploration well.
What We Did
We collected and analyzed data and conducted interviews to compare plans and execution performance versus requirements in the local regulations, the client’s Management system and the NORSOK D-010 Well Integrity standard.
The planned plug and abandonment design solution was found to be non-compliant with NORSOK D-010 and improvements to the client’s Well Barrier Philosophy were recommended by Add Energy.

As part of Woodside Energy’s field development plans, Add Energy supported Woodside’s Drilling and Completion team with the well engineering services for the successful delivery of a new subsea big bore gas well.

In certain regions of the world, and for some operators, regulations and internal procedures mandate that fields cannot be developed unless the operator can demonstrate that the well can be intercepted and controlled via a single relief well drilling operation, as opposed to multiple relief wells, which is usually the norm.
