Gain access to training and mentorship through experienced engineers supplied by Add Energy

We supply and manage integrated multi skilled teams to plan, execute and close-out solutions designed to optimize production for existing and mature wells.

Well Servicing and Intervention

We plan and execute rig-less activities, wellhead maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of valves, water shut-off, suspension, well lubrication and bleed, re-perforation, and production and corrosion logging. We coordinate site integration testing, equipment readiness and logistics activities in preparation for operations.

Supply of Manpower and Consultants

We provide operational support from office to the wellsite during project planning, executions and close-out.

“The manpower provided by Add Energy not only enabled our maintenance campaign to be completed on time, but the insights and advice provided by the team enabled optimization opportunities to be unlocked and implemented into our maintenance program”

Project showcase: Production optimization of mature wells

What We Did

Add Energy’s well servicing team assisted Woodside Energy to liquidate production critical maintenance by troubleshooting and testing wellheads and safety valves for big bore gas wells on the Goodwyn and Rankin platforms.

The scope of work included well services supervision and wellhead maintenance for rigless intervention, including:

  • Well Integrity assessment for Wellhead Maintenance
  • Subsurface Safety Valve Troubleshooting and Change-outs
  • SCSSSV profiles troubleshooting and implementation of new technologies
  • Tubing landing profiles troubleshooting
  • Water Shut-off
  • Temporary/Permanent Suspension
  • Well Lubricate & Bleed (Fluid Pumping and returns)
  • Well Optimization: Formation Logging and QC
  • Well Optimization: Re-perforation and QC

The Result

  • Improved production of gas wells
  • Work scopes delivered ahead of time and budget
  • No uncontrolled hydrocarbon release to the environment
  • No lost time incidents

A closer look at the RWIS design, how it works and the benefits that can be unlocked

Drilling and extraction of hydrocarbons is a complex and risky process, and operators must have robust safety assurance and contingency measures in place to mitigate danger, efficiently respond to any incidents and reduce the personal, business and environmental impact if an uncontrolled release were to occur.

In certain regions of the world, and for some operators, regulations and internal procedures mandate that fields cannot be developed unless the operator can demonstrate that the well can be intercepted and controlled via a single relief well drilling operation, as opposed to multiple relief wells, which is usually the norm.

Preventing a blowout while maximising flow: insights from our EVP of Well Control, Morten Haug Emilsen

Safety is always the number one priority in drilling operations, but this can often impact an operator’s ability to reach their targets and optimize future production. However, there are ways engineers can increase the efficiency of field development and maximise production, without compromising safety.

Relief Well Challenges and Solutions for Subsea Big-Bore Field Developments

Production optimization with less CAPEX is an ever-growing quest for many operators. Not only are operators focused on maximizing flow rates through larger bores, but they want to achieve this with less investment.

Whilst production optimization creates significant cost benefits for a business, it is critical to note that additional risks are introduced when bigger bores are developed. These include, but are not limited to:

Add Energy Delivers Successful Well Integrity Training Course in Perth

Mr. Terje Løkke-Sørensen, the Chief Technical Officer of Add Energy, delivered the company’s 4th  familiarization training course on the principles of NORSOK D-010 Well Integrity standard. A 1-day course that focused on the establishment of well barriers, including well barrier elements and how these are accepted and monitored to prevent loss of integrity that ultimately could lead to a blowout.

Service Spotlight: well operations management plans

As a part of our work across Australia, we provide management plans and independent integrity risk assessments for our clients’ offshore and onshore operations.

A well-structured, coherent well operations management plan provides a suitable level of detail that accurately describe the well, the operating envelope, the management systems in place and all the activities that take place at or in connection with the well; facilitating the titleholder’s ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the factors that influence risk and controls that are critical to minimising risk to the integrity of the well.
